A common questioned asked about disappearing is where is the right place to go. As if there is a promised land in the disappear world. The right place comes down to a number of reasons, what you can afford, how you earn a living, is it a safe place and can you acclimate. However, in this conversation I want to avoid talking about the tools of disappearing because disappearing is not really about disappearing.
There is a fitting quote by the Buddha — “The mind is everything. What you think you become.” This is a mindset you should embrace in two separate steps. First, when considering your cities, think about can you become. Second when you disappear, will you become. Becoming is a discipline of self and place for the purpose of acclimating.
So, if I cannot tell you where the right place to disappear to, then how do you decide on that place. Think of it from a Zen perspective, not the meditation and incense part but the intuition aspect. It really comes down to your gut feeling, what the voice in your head is telling you. Tools are tools in the disappear world but sometimes intuition is far more important. And most times becoming is the real door to freedom.
